SA reports to African Union on state of children’s rights

South Africa has submitted its Initial State Party Report to the African Union's Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child. Edited and developed for publication by Advocacy Aid, the report provides substantive evidence of progress in implementing the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child.

In particular, it details measures to secure and safeguard children's constitutional rights, survival, development, protection and participation through a sound legislative and policy framework, appropriate access to justice, and a responsive service delivery.

However, challenges remain, and strategic and administrative systems have been put in place to address them.
